Feeling a Loss of Control over Your Life? Get Fit!

I had some trouble coming up with a title for this post.  During my walk this morning at the park, I was thinking about how wonderful it is to be able to exercise every morning.  Staying fit is something that I control in my life.  No matter what I may have goofed up for the day, or who I made upset- I always have the option of being active.  I am very grateful for this and do not take it for granted.  Through being active and keeping your mind and body healthy- it can give you a sense of control and self worth that I don’t think you can get through any other means.   One can be controlled and manipulated through bosses, spouses, family members, etc.  But when it comes to staying fit- you are the only one responsible for this.  For me, this concept kicks ass!   So if you’re in a position where you feel your life is being dictated by others- (and you’re not currently active), start by choosing a type of recreational activity that you think you would really enjoy.  Get diligent about this activity and make it a priority.  Others will see you mean business- and other areas of your life will improve as a result.
